CFO Wiz is a financial intelligence platform operated by ScaleIt Financial LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a Maryland limited liability company. Our principal place of business is in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create a CFO Wiz account, we collect:

• Business name and contact information
• Email address
• Business type and operational details you provide during onboarding

2.2 QuickBooks Online Data

With your explicit authorization via Intuit's OAuth 2.0 protocol, CFO Wiz accesses the following data from your QuickBooks Online account:

• Chart of accounts and account balances
• Profit & loss data and income/expense transactions
• Customer and vendor summary data (for reporting purposes)
• Class and department information
• Company profile information (name, industry, fiscal year settings)

CFO Wiz is read-only. We never create, modify, or delete any data in your QuickBooks Online account.

2.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service, including:

• Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date)
• Device information (hardware model, operating system)
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies for session management

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the CFO Wiz Service
• Calculate and display your F&B financial KPIs and dashboards
• Authenticate your identity and maintain your account
• Send transactional communications (account updates, security alerts)
• Improve and develop the Service
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your financial data for advertising, benchmarking without your consent, or any purpose not described in this Policy.

4. Intuit / QuickBooks Data Use

Our use of QuickBooks Online data is governed by Intuit's Platform Terms. Specifically:

• We access only the data necessary to provide the Service (minimum necessary access)
• We do not share your Intuit/QBO data with third parties except as required to operate the Service (e.g., our database hosting provider)
• We do not use your QBO data to train machine learning models without your explicit consent
• You may revoke CFO Wiz's access to your QuickBooks account at any time via your Intuit account settings at accounts.intuit.com

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway (a cloud infrastructure provider). We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+)
• Encrypted storage at rest
• Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
• Regular security reviews

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and financial data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

QBO data cached for dashboard display is refreshed on each session and is not retained beyond operational necessity.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:

• Service providers: Infrastructure and hosting providers (Railway, Vercel) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Revoke QBO access: Disconnect CFO Wiz from QuickBooks at any time
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format

9. Cookies

CFO Wiz uses session cookies to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent the Service from functioning properly.

10. Children's Privacy

CFO Wiz is a business tool intended for adults operating food and beverage businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date and, where appropriate, by sending an email notification. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
